West Highland Museum
Details
The West Highland Museum’s collections tell the story of the Lochaber region in context of it's rich and colourful history. The Museum has a fine collection of Jacobite artefacts, a reconstructed 'Governors' Room' from the old fort, and a small collection of militaria and Victoriana. There is also part of an oak long boat, believed to be 8,000 years old, and a small collection of stuffed birds. These are just a few of the many highlights. Situated on the High Street in Fort William, the museum is free to enter and is well worth a visit.
