Souterrain Circular Walk @ Isle of Canna
Souterrain Circular Walk with The NTS Rangers
Saturday 22nd August 2020 from 11:00
Meet at The Isle of Canna Commuity Shop at 07:00
Paid event: Adults £15, children £10 - booking required
The rangers on Canna would love to show you the history of the island. Join us on a walk into the past and visit our souterrains (subterranean earth tunnels). There’ll be an optional visit to the King of Norway’s Grave if time permits. We’ll also have a look at the fossilised trees on the island.
This year the rangers have created a circular walk in order to give you a good view of the basalt columns and one of its historic settlements.
Please bring wet weather clothing, plenty of food and water.
The walk involves a long walk in and contains wet and uneven ground. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please see The National Trust For Scotland webite for full details.
