Shorewatch on Compass Hill @ Isle of Canna
Shorewatch on Compass Hill with The NTS Rangers
Wednesday 10th June 2020 from 13:00 to 14:30
Compass Hill, The Isle of Canna
Free Event
2020 is the Year of Coasts and Waters, and the rangers would love to introduce you to the wonders that are found in Scotland’s waters. This will be done by a shorewatch near the top of Compass Hill. This site gives a great opportunity to see the waters surounding both Canna and Rum, as well as offering great views of Skye and the Cuillin.
We hope to see some cetaceans, with previous records on Canna of minke whale, common and bottlenose dolphin, and even orca.
Make sure to bring warm clothing and good footwear as well as any snacks and water you may want.
The walk is over uneven ground with a hill, so please be sure you are able to undertake the walk.
Please see The National Trust For Scotland webite for full details.
