Parallel Roads Rock Safari

A trip to one of Lochaber Geopark’s five famous geosites, the Parallel Roads. These are a set of mysterious parallel lines that run all along the Glen Roy valley, perfectly parallel to each other. Unraveling their formation was an issue of great controversy and Charles Darwin was heavily involved in the story of the roads (though he was incorrect!).

The Rock Safari Starts at Darwin’s Rest Coffee Shop, before setting out in a car convey up Glen Roy, stopping at various key points to go explore areas of interest in the story of the Parallel Roads.

Price: £5 (this includes a hot drink in Darwin’s Rest Coffee Shop at the start)
