Coastal Archaeology Walk @ Isle of Canna
Coastal Archaeology Walk with The NTS Rangers
Saturday 18th July 2020 from 11:00
Meet at The Isle of Canna Commuity Shop
Paid Event: Adult £20, children £15 - booking required
Come and join the rangers for a special walk, part of 2020 being the Year of Coasts and Waters. This walk is a 7-mile walk and takes in a few of Canna’s 1,400 archaeological features. This walk includes the souterrains, calls at an historic settlement and finishes off with seeing our early monastic settlement.
This walk contains uneven and boggy terrain. There’s also a small climb and a cliff that drops into the sea.
Please be sure to bring bad weather clothing, sturdy footwear, and plenty of food and water.
Please note that we’ll not be able to go down into the nunnery as it’s down a steep cliff, but we will enjoy the aerial views.
Please see The National Trust For Scotland webite for full details.
