Drimnin Estate has a varied landscape of spectacular coastline, moorland, woodland and pasture and is very secluded. It stands at the end of eleven miles of single track road beyond the small community of Lochaline. There are various farmhouses scattered across the Estate, a beautifully restored chapel, an old Stone Age fort and many old crofting villages. As well as flocks of Blackface sheep and a herd of Highland cattle the estate is a haven for wildlife such as roe and red deer, golden and sea eagles, pine martens and otters.
We would love you to experience the magic of the Estate for yourself in one of our three self-catering cottages (sleeping 1-6), all renovated to a very high standard and offering the visitor tranquility, a beautiful setting and access to all the Estate has to offer. Pets are welcome. To see more on our self catering cottages and to check availability and book, please visit our website.
The Estate also offers mountain bikes to hire, fishing on Estate hill lochs ( including hire of rods, tackle etc.), sells home produced lamb, beef, wild venison and holds concerts in the restored chapel. For the active, there are plenty of walks within the Estate - over hills, along the private track to the old ferry inn on Loch Sunart and around the coast.
Drimnin House is also available on a catered basis for family holidays and special occasions such as weddings, vow renewals, christenings, corporate activities, country pursuits and for film sets.
